I grew up in McCreary County, Kentucky, just one county over from UC!
It's pretty small and poor, with no hospital or even a walmart. There is quite literally nothing to do.
Though it's boring, there are many hiking trails with beautiful scenery to explore. There are also great swimming holes and creeks to swim in during the summer! If you aren't much of a nature person, I do not recommend visiting, because that's pretty much it.
I literally can't think of anything else to say about it.

I am a computer science major with an emphasis in cybersecurity. I think it suits me well, and I genuinely enjoy learning about the topics in each of my classes. However, with AI improving everyday, I do have my doubts about future job security in this field. I've worried a lot about this, but I can't see myself doing anything else. That's why I've decided to take the time to learn about hardware and how to fix various issues. I love fixing things and solving problems, so I will be happy going down that path as well. I'm still not sure about what exactly I plan to do in the future.
I want to stay flexible and get experience in any way that I can, and let that guide me. If this doesn't work out, I guess I'll work at McDonalds or something.

I use the internet for pretty much everything. I don't have a TV, so I rely on either my laptop or phone for most of my entertainment.
It's easy to endlessly doomscroll or binge watch tv shows, so I try to balance it out by learning about things I'm interested in as well,
so I feel more productive. Overall, I'm chronically online, which can be both a good and bad thing, and I think finding a healthy balance between the internet and real life is crucial, but something many of us struggle with.
But that's why I'm doing computer science. lol.
